What is workflow automation?
Workflow automation means software carrying out repeatable steps for you when a trigger occurs.
A simple example
Someone completes an enquiry form. Instead of copying their details into a spreadsheet and manually telling someone about it, an automation can do both steps automatically.
Think in three parts
1. TriggerWhat starts the workflow?
2. InformationWhat data needs to move or change?
3. ActionWhat should happen next?
Your first automation should be boring
That's a good thing. Start with a small task you repeat often, not a huge business process. Once the simple version works reliably, add more steps.
